Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang visited the University of Iowa campus Sept. 16-17, 2015 to deliver the second lecture in the Creative Matters series sponsored by the UI Office of the Vice President for Research. Lang has been described as a passionate, prolific, and complicated composer who embodies the restless spirit of invention. He is at the same time deeply versed in the classical tradition and committed to music that resists categorization, constantly creating new forms.
